Since the dawn of civilization, it is undoubtedly imperative that young generations are well-educated to contribute to their nations. Therefore, how to provide the best education quality for students still lingers. Therefore, in this day and age, learning at school has been a hot topic of debate when many people wonder about its quality and effectiveness for children.

As a result, many parents decide to educate their children at home instead of letting them go to school. From my point of view, homeschooling’s benefits surpass its disadvantages for the flexible curriculums and avoiding social evils at school.

On the one hand, homeschooling might be costly. First of all, it is self-evident that they will obtain a better well-organized education when children learn in schools. Before being implemented, school textbook systems were thoroughly investigated, examined, and considered so that the education system is suited for all students and offers them complete information.

Second, there is no question that homeschooling leads to a reduction in socializing. While children can talk, mingle, make new friends, and learn from one another while at school, youngsters studying at home will have fewer peers. As a result, they will not acquire soft skills, particularly communication abilities, and will lack confidence.

On the other hand, homeschooling brings back a myriad of benefits. Homeschooling offers children more flexibility. Since parents have a choice of the curriculum, they will be able to control the pace of the curriculum and tailor lessons to the needs of their children. For example, if the kid has a particular interest in a realm, the parents can spend more time teaching that subject and have personalized learning to pursue the child’s interest and match his learning styles. As a result, the child will be more indulged in the lessons and receive more extensive learning.

Moreover, parents understand their children the most so that they will know what their strengths are to develop and which one is the weakness that needs improving. From that, parents can decide which part students should study more and which one they think is unnecessary for their children to build the best curriculum to achieve their full potential. Therefore, instead of spending time and money studying numerous subjects, pupils only have to learn some practical and valuable for them. 

Second, going to school is hazardous for children when they can be induced by strangers to do bad things such as using drugs, drinking alcohol, or dropping out of school. These activities will bring students inevitable consequences that will affect their life and career in the future, and they will regret what they have done in their school years. Having no peers while being homeschooled, children cannot be tempted to participate in antisocial behaviors and avoid being bullied.

In conclusion, although homeschooling can bring certain drawbacks, I am more convinced that it is beneficial because of the effective curriculums and the prevention of children from social evils at school. Moreover, even if children are educated at home, they will still be able to study in great universities around the world and get a stable job with a good salary.
